Q: Will Belarus still be able to make money when you set things rolling? What are the main factors for your mill to stay competitive in the paper/board business and how does the new production line contribute to them? Romas Radevich: At the moment, there are no mills in the CIS countries that can produce such a high-quality product. We live in a world where goods are often judged by their packaging, so premium packaging is needed now more than you would imagine. The board that we are going to produce will be used for this type of packaging.
Q: So you don’t see any problems with the sales market? RR: Today, the market is still growing, and this was the reason for modernising this mill. It will bring new life to our existing facility. With the launch of the new production line, we see a great future and immense potential.
Q: Modernisation of the Dobrush plant began in 2012 and was carried out with a Chinese loan. In 2020, Andritz specialists were invited to commission the mill. How did Andritz take on this job and why you personally feel like a kind of Tony Stark from the Marvel films, who comes at the most crucial moment and solves all problems?
