Try out canoeing and celebrate successful fundraising by the Scouts, Canoe Club and Dreamboats to provide a public use defi brillator at Riverside.
Please come along to our Annual Open Day at Wimborne Riverside, Dreamboats (Riverside Park Industrial Estate, BH21 1QU) on Saturday, 2 May between 10.30am and 4pm.
At 10.30am the Riverside Community Defi brillator will be ‘unveiled’ outside the Scout Hall by the Wimborne Town Mayor and Mayoress followed by resuscitation and defi brillator training and demonstrations supported by Scouts and Volunteer First Responders.
From 11am activities will be available on the riverside, including rowing boats available for hire from Dreamboats and taster sessions in either Kayak, Canoe or stand-up paddleboard under the guidance of instructors from Poole Harbour Canoe Club. (We are asking for a small donation, but if that is a problem do still come along).
Bring along friends and family; fun for all!
You should be water confi dent, no other skills or experience required! Children under 8 years old may be allowed afl oat in the canoes, kayaks and stand-

A children’s play area is also available. An Activate Coast and Greenspace Outdoor Physical Activities Guide will be available.
The Club has been running regular sessions from Riverside Wimborne for six years. The sheltered water provides ideal conditions for people of all ages and abilities to try out the sport and is an excellent venue for fl atwater canoeing for fun, fi tness and competition.
