Dance Live!


Congratulations to the Corfe Hills School Dance Live! students.


Before February half term, after weeks of rehearsals, our students competed at Portsmouth Guildhall in the fi rst ever Dance Live, a brand-new annual dance event for schools and colleges, and placed 2nd! This allows them to advance to the fi nals in April.


Special mention from the judges went to the simplicity of the idea of water (concept and choreography by Mika Smith) and what the students did with it. Harry and Sophie Meston got a mention for awesome hip hop duet work, Charlie Nicholas was pulled out as a particularly highlighted dancer, so was Jasmine Frank for her acro work. Lola was then spoken to personally by a judge later about her performance and facial expressions. The head judge also commented on the water girls’ general high level of dancing form, and the ‘superb talent’ of the group as a whole.


Well done to all the students involved and the staff for making it possible.
