Lockyer's Middle School Computer Problems?
Further to our recent launch of the Accelerated Reader programme, we were delighted to congratulate Abigail Coulson and Meghan Williams, both from Year 6, on becoming our fi rst Millionaire Readers.
At the time of writing, children have quizzed on 1,578 books, reading an amazing 56,240,583 words. Our aim is to secure more than 100 Millionaire readers before the end of the school year.
Let Us Solve Them For You
Congratulations go to our Year 7 boys football team, who have beaten both Lytchett Minster School and Purbeck School to continue to progress to the next round of the PEDSSA Cup. Our Year 7 and 8 girls team also secured an impressive 6-0 win away at Carter School, as well as making it to the upcoming Under 13 Girls’ fi nals.
A big thank you goes to the Friends of Lockyer’s for all their hard work and support. This month they have agreed to purchase two outdoor tables tennis sets and a new games shed for use at break and lunch times, as well as helping to fund an infl atable planetarium visit for Year 5 to support their learning in Science. In addition, they have also donated £1,500 towards the purchase of fi ction books for our school library. We are very grateful for their support.
