Poole Grammar Appoints New Headteacher
The Governors of Poole Grammar School have appointed a new Headteacher, to replace current Head Andy Baker, who will be leaving at the end of the academic year.
Dr Amanda Smith is currently Deputy Headteacher at South Wilts Grammar School, and will bring a wealth of experience of school leadership with her.
Dr Ken Power, Chair of Governors, said “the school attracted a truly exceptional fi eld of candidates, and it speaks volumes for the school that we were able to attract many high quality applicants.”
Dr Smith becomes the fi rst female Headteacher in the school’s history.
Dr Smith said “I am delighted to have been appointed as Headteacher of Poole Grammar School, and to be joining such a vibrant and thriving school in September.
I am looking forward to working with the
students, staff and parents of the school, as well as with the wider community of Poole.
