New Year New Start Healthwatch Dorset would like to hear from you!
Do you want to get hands-on in making a real change to your local NHS health and social care services? We are scouting for volunteers who want to get behind the scenes of these services and gather feedback to ensure the patient voice is heard, because your voice counts.
We don’t require a dedicated slot every week for you to volunteer your time, just a passion to give back and get involved with our projects as they come up, to make real change happen.
Past projects have included gathering views and offering recommendations in Poole A&E department, carrying out ‘mystery shopper’ assignments in surgeries to ensure correct and
consistent information is being given about NHS health checks, and entering local hospitals across Dorset to check the quality of the environment to ensure patient experience is as comfortable as possible.
Raising awareness of the Healthwatch Dorset service is just as vital, and we need volunteers to help spread the word through their social networks, at events with our promotional stand, attending meetings across the county, and for the tech savvy; helping with our social media channels.
