A guide for 2020 wedding suits from Visual Impact

Tweeds continue to be popular for those outdoor, rustic style of weddings. The ‘Tweed’ trend was at its very pinnacle in 2017, when it was the number one trend and is set to continue throughout 2020.

Bridal beauty E ON A BUDGET

Wouldn’t you like to spend less on your dress, but still get a beautiful one, and then have more to spend on your honeymoon? This is exactly what Eve Insley of Belle Mariee did for her own wedding and her idea has blossomed into a beautiful bridal shop

ve planned her own wedding in 2018 and set a budget, with an idea of ‘going all out’ on the honeymoon. So she bought her own dress online and after

returning from her fabulous honeymoon in May, she opened Belle Mariee (which means beautiful bride in French), so that other brides could feel wonderful on their wedding day.

Belle Mariee will have the answer for you amongst their wide selection of Bridal gowns, which are all very affordable (under £500 and many less than this), and in sizes up to 26. Shopping at Belle Mariee’s shop in Newport High Street (above the Mencap shop) is by appointment only, and helpfully you can do this in the evenings after work, giving you your own very private shopping experience in their comfortable and beautiful shop.

“I’ve had a very good success rate,” said Eve. “I sell more dresses in the 16 and 18 sizes on the Island, and I have dresses in whites, but also gold, red, black and white – I’ll buy anything that I think is a beautiful dress and I can source what you need if you want something special.”

Belle Mariee is open by appointment only – call Eve on 07450 695977 or email bellemarieeisleofwight@gmail.com

Double breasted with slim fitting, bespoke styled double breasted jackets being worn by the groom to distinguish himself from the remainder of the wedding party

Fitted suits, slim fitting suits may still be very much ‘on-trend’ on the high-street but for weddings this trend seems to have given way to a more classically tailored fit. The borderline too-small suits which were commonplace between 2010 to 2015 have slowly been replaced with a more bespoke fit. Higher waisted trousers (worn with braces) and jackets that can fasten have become our most popular designs.

Green suits and burgundy have been popular colours in 2019 and we expect this trend in unusual colours to increase over the next 12 months.

Bold checks Every few years the fashion for wedding attire takes a seismic shift and 2020 could be one of those years. For the most fashionable, the most daring and the most on trend grooms of 2020 will be wearing big, brave patterns throughout the whole 3-piece suit.
