Girlguiding
One of the best annual Broadstone events of the year is always a well celebrated event across Girlguiding units in Broadstone.
If you haven’t worked it out yet, that event is the Broadstone Christmas Parade and what a turn out there was this year for the 50th anniversary!
This year, as always, saw the Girlguiding units with some wonderful costumes – we had little donkeys, Christmas meals on wheels, candles, gingerbread men, Christmas bakers and brussel sprouts. I would like to take this time to thank all the leaders and girls for all the effort they made with their costumes as everyone looked amazing.
We were also lucky enough to win some awards: well done to 3rd Broadstone Guides who won the over 9s award and 4th Broadstone Brownies who won a special award as well. We also competed against each other for the Girlguiding shields, so well done to 5th Broadstone Brownies for winning the Rainbow and Brownie shield and well done to 4th Broadstone Guides for winning the Guide shield.
