KuKu Connect celebrated its milestone in decadent surroundings

Connect with the best in the region

KuKu Connect has celebrated its three-year anniversary at an annual birthday reception at Stoke Rochford Hall, with 400 businesses from across the East Midlands in attendance. The reception was a celebration of the East Midlands business

community and was attended by a representative of Her Majesty the Queen, business leaders, influencers and an array of dignitaries. Philip Brooks-Stephenson, Co-Founder of Kuku Connect, said: “The

Annual Birthday Reception is very much about connecting business people from all over the Midlands, but also a celebratory evening to recognise the immense contribution the East Midlands makes to the economy and the wider community. The event itself is a little different as we don’t sit down at tables, as we want business people to connect with one another, but in a relaxed and informal way.”

KuKu Connect, which runs networking events across the region, has built

a wide network of businesses, including the Chamber. David Pearson, Director of Partnership at the Chamber, said:

“Congratulations KuKu Connect on its third anniversary. The work KuKu undertakes in connecting the region’s businesses is fantastic and we look forward to continuing to work with Philip and Stephen in the future.” Stephen Goddard, Co-Founder of KuKu Connect, added: “We are really

pleased to be working in partnership with the Chamber which acts as the voice of business at local, national and even international level and is also a partner alongside us for the East Midlands Love Business Expo. “The Chamber provides businesses with a range of vital services, so we are

delighted to invite Chamber members to attend a Connect Reception as a free guest. It’s a great way to meet different business people in a fab setting.”

The team at Rhodes Wealth Management Merger doubles clients

Rhodes Wealth Management has doubled its number of clients after a merger with another Derbyshire-based financial advice firm. The merger will allow Hale Wealth Management to bring complementary

services under the Rhodes umbrella. Since Rhodes moved to new premises at Luke Lane in Brailsford a year ago, the company has been looking at ways to maximise its offering. For many years, Managing Director Adam Rhodes had known Derby-

based Jason Hale, who has been established in the financial services industry for more than 20 years. Jason has built up a loyal client base but he and his team were working from smaller offices in Littleover so it was logical to link up with Rhodes Wealth Management which can provide the infrastructure to support Hale’s client base further. Adam said: “As a result of the merger, we now have three additional staff

with all the added energies which new starters bring but benefiting from years of industry experience. Jason himself is a great asset, having more than two decades’ experience in the financial services industry. “The merging of the two businesses brings together the knowledge and

experience of two practices under one roof, leading us to have one of the strongest adviser teams in the Derbyshire area.”
