Agricast’s 1000th high strength wheel headed for Australia
L
incolnshire-based Agricast is celebrating selling its 1000th high strength wheel – less than a year after launching it last autumn. The milestone High Strength Ring is part of a consign- ment headed to Springfi eld Hay in New South Wales, Australia. Agricast introduced the high strength wheel in September 2018 after months of research and de- velopment work, which resulted in a 24-inch, eight-spoke design. The innovative new wheel is sig- nifi cantly more robust than tradi- tional counterparts.
As well as being stronger than alternatives, the High Strength Ring is cheaper than compara- ble wheels and will fi t most lead- ing machines – including Cousins, Dal-Bo, HE-VA, Twose and Simba Great Plains.
Agricast has showcased the
spoke design to offer farmers, contractors and manufacturers a stronger ring at a more competi- tive price point compared to duc- tile steel. We spent a lot of time on the computer designing this new ring to ensure that it’s as strong as it can be.

wheel at LAMMA, the Midlands Machinery Show and the Cereals event – leading to a surge in orders from individual farmers needing to replace worn wheels and ma- chine manufacturers looking for better quality and lower-priced
wheels. “We’ve been really pleased with
the way our High Strength Wheel has been received,” says Agricast general manager William Robin- son.
“We developed this new eight-
testing was undertaken to ensure it is robust and long-lasting. Un- like other rings on the market, the key advantage of the Agricast high strength wheel is that the wearing edge of the ring still contains plen- ty of metal compared to rivals.” Established in 1987 and based on a family farm, Agricast spe- cialises in Cambridge roll rings. It also supplies a wide range of press rings, disc blades and sub- soiler wear parts. The company of- fers bespoke alterations and fab- rication services.
