Tong launches online portal for customers V

the start of the company’s 90th year at next month’s LAMMA event. “After kickstarting our anni-


versary celebrations at the re- nowned British Potato event in Harrogate in November, we are very excited to begin 2020 with such a key event in our calen- dar,” says company sales man- ager Nick Woodcock. “We are very proud to have

vide Tong customers with a per- sonal online equipment library in which all essential equipment documentation, including user manuals and spare parts speci-


fi cations, will be available at the touch of a button, whether in the offi ce or in the fi eld.


The aim is to give customers


a user-friendly and convenient way to access valuable equip- ment information quickly and easily – making it easier to keep downtime to a minimum by in- creasing effi ciencies both in fi eld and packhouse. Each time customers buy an


item of Tong equipment, the rel- evant operating manual and documentation will be added to their portal profi le – keep- ing everything in one place and accessible via PC or mobile de- vice, whenever and wherever it is needed. “We look forward to seeing farmers and growers from all over the UK at LAMMA in January, to discuss the noticeable effi ciencies that our latest cleaning, grading and washing equipment is bring- ing to the post-harvest crop han- dling process.”
