SB 1290iD
As with the earlier LSB range, Kuhn offers the option of an extreme high density bal- er, with up to 25% high- er bale density. The SB 1290iD provides the potential for increased handling, trans- port and storage efficiencies in all situations, most notably in the growing market for energy crops. Increased bale density is pos- sible with the same tractor power as the SB 1290 due to the inno- vative Twinpact double plunger system.
The plunger operates with split impact, in which the bot- tom half of the plunger hits the bale first followed by the top half, using the full force available on each impact. This eliminates the need for an oversized driveline, flywheel or mainframe. All SB balers are fully Isobus compatible with an intuitive user interface. Control is said to be straightforward and easy via the Isobus terminal of the trac- tor or via Kuhn’s CCI 50 or CCI 1200 terminals.
