Lead Inspector Shane Ford described prepping, testing and installing wire rope for a 220 foot zipline over a waterfall as a favorite project in this tenure with Hercules SLR.

WITHOUT INSPECTIONS AND MAINTENANCE, EQUIPMENT FAILURES CAN HAVE A MAJOR EFFECT ON SAFETY, UNSCHEDULED OUTAGES AND YOUR BUSINESS COSTS.

people performing their inspections. When you hire one of our inspection technicians, you’re receiving an inspector that has went through vigorous training from a certified LEEA trainer. We are proud to say that we have the most LEEA accredited technicians in all of Canada! You should be familiar with LEEA - the Lifting

Equipment Engineer’s Association, which operates across the globe as a representative body for everyone involved in the lifting & hoisting industry. Te association has played a key role in the specialized lifting field for over 70 years, from training & standards setting through to health and safety, the provision of technical and legal advice, and the development of examination and licensing systems. Tis gives our inspectors an edge, as they’re familiar with both North American and European lifting safety standards and requirements. Clint, an Inspector from Hercules SLR in

Brampton, Ontario says, “LEEA training is great – It gives us a better understanding of how the equipment actually works, which makes it much easier to identify problems. I love having the opportunity to learn more,

and the training really helps us notice things that sometimes aren’t obvious to technicians without LEEA training and certification.” In order to be successfully LEEA certified, inspectors complete the foundations programs, diploma programs and rigorous exams, which are considered the most challenging in the industry. During training, LEEA instructors are accessible and eager to answer questions. Students don’t feel rushed, and learn not just from a book, but from real-world applications that relate to topics in the book and lesson. Inspectors who complete the LEEA diploma program get a Team Card, which reflects their current qualifications—A great place to start when determining if your inspector is right for the job, is asking for their Team Card! Training can greatly vary in the rigging industry, from a short 4-hour familiarization course, to multiple day programs like LEEA. As full LEEA members, Hercules SLR has been through a LEEA quality and safety audit as well as trained Team Card holders for all disciplines we operate in. Tis has also allowed the Hercules Training Academy
