evolving, but we’ve done a good job in keeping up with the latest technology,” said DiMartino, Jr. “An example of this is our End Cap app. Using a smart phone or a tablet, you can easily select the proper End Cap for the job. We’ve also developed ‘Rapid Ready,’ a program where we design, build, proof test, and ship custom products within five to seven work days.” In fact, product development is a top priority at the


company, and Tandemloc boasts a dedicated department staffed by two engineers who spend most of the day developing new items. DiMartino, Jr. admitted that the company has some


exciting product offerings in development, but, when asked for specifics, he replied, “We’d rather keep that a secret!” Mysteries notwithstanding, looking ahead, the


Tandemloc family does recognize that they will need to keep evolving their company, reinventing their products, and expanding their footprint in order to thrive. “It’s a very competitive world out there,” DiMartino, Jr. acknowledged, “but we focus on producing a high-quality


product and offering the customers excellent service so they come back.”


All signs indicate that the company is ready to meet the competition, including plans to open another branch location as well as an exciting new rental initiative. Under the new concept, Tandemloc will partner


with rental hubs, supplying the rental assets and offering the hubs sizable commissions for bringing in business. DiMartino, Jr. also expressed excitement about setting up their first distributor partnership, Bairstow Rigging out of Atlanta, Georgia. “Te future at Tandemloc is very bright,” he emphasized. And, all told, after 35 years of steady success and


business growth, Tandemloc and the family have not forgotten their roots. DiMartino, Jr. recognized how much work and dedication it took to get from his father’s New York basement to the thriving, industry leader Tandemloc is today. “We’ve never lost sight of those humble beginnings.
