TANDEMLOC BRINGS A FAMILY TOUCH TO BELOW-THE-HOOK BUSINESS

BY: A JORDAN WEBER

t a jobsite in Ohio this past September, All State Crane & Rigging performed an impressive feat—moving a 50,000-pound bottle press under tight conditions. Te project was such a homerun, the company

raved about it on social media—not once, but twice. Central to the project’s success was a highly specialized End Cap Spreader Beam supplied by Tandemloc, Inc., a company that has become synonymous with quality and customer service in the below-the-hook market.

“Tandemloc’s end caps allow us to customize the size of the spreader bars. Tis allows us to perform more difficult jobs as well as meet each particular demand and create custom solutions.” Adam Stack, Head of Sales for All State.

“Our End Cap Spreader Beam Assemblies are some of the most versatile products in the industry,” said Tandemloc president John DiMartino, Jr., adding that the equipment is proof-tested at an impressive 125 percent of the working load limit.

“Tandemloc likes to provide our customers with high-quality products that meet or exceed the industry standards,” he added. “Tat’s why all of our below-the- hook lifting products are proof tested. We want to make

sure that extra measure has been taken for the safety of our customers across a huge variety of markets—the top three being construction, oil and gas, and maritime.” Te End Caps used in the All State project were

a standard product, and Tandemloc can provide the pipe or it can be procured by the user. In this case, All State procured their own pipe. “Te assembly consists of our End Caps with either a fixed length of pipe or a telescopic pipe section,” said DiMartino, Jr., “We provide the fixed length of pipe cut, drilled, load tested, and painted, or the customer can procure their own. Te telescopic pipe sections we offer work with our three-, four-, five-, and six-inch model End Caps. Te ability to remove the End Caps and insert them into whatever length of fixed or telescopic pipe sections needed is what makes this assembly so versatile.” To that end, complex moves like the All State job

are a welcome, and frequent, challenge for Tandemloc. And they’ve been doing it for more than three decades. “We offer an outstanding commitment to quality and customer satisfaction—built around a family centered business model,” said DiMartino, Jr.

INCREDIBLE OFFER Founded in 1984, Tandemloc’s roots run even deeper— all the way back to the 1950s, when founder John “Mike” DiMartino, Sr. entered the industry designing specialized container securing devices. In 1973, DiMartino, Sr. set out on his own, opening a new company that year, which would unfortunately dissolve after a decade run. “It was from the ashes of this company that

Tandemloc was born, in the basement of my father’s house in Suffolk County, New York,” recalled DiMartino, Jr.
