Classes available OPEN/ NON PRO/ GREEN REINER/ YOUTH/ RANCH RIDING
owner/rider to know which classes you and the horse are eligible for. Class Eligibility is based on the rider’s and/or the horse’s earnings or experience as of January 1 of the current year. Specifics to Know: 1. How much NRHA money has the rider has earned? How much NRHA money has the horse has earned? If you enter a class you are not eligible for, you may end up losing any winnings plus you could also be fined (up to $200 USD). 2. Who owns the horse? Does the owner have a membership? Does the horse have a Competition Licence? For example: Rookie classes allow competitors to rider horse they do not own, however the owners must be current member of NRHA. Green Reiner and ORHA Rookie Youth classes allow competitors to show any horses whether they have a competition license or not.
Eligibility Rules NRHA Eligibility levels will be set by the Board of Directors by August 31st of the preceding year
for all categories and are outlined on their website
https://nrha1.com/eligibility. ORHA eligibility is out- lined in the Rule Book and on the website at
www.orha.on.ca/eligibility. When limits of eligibility are surpassed during the show year, the exhibitor may complete the year in that specific class or division.
