ILEA Greater Philadelphia Past President’s Dinner

September 12, 2018 - Blue Bell, PA - The ILEA Greater Philadelphia chapter Board of Directors hon- ored 13 Past Presidents at Bluestone Country Club for their First Annual Past President’s Dinner. The inspira- tion behind hosting this dinner was to honor those who served the organization and to discuss further benefits for current and future members. Another reason for hosting this event was to make sure the Chapter was engaging previous leadership, as they are a wealth of knowledge and a valuable resource for future success. The evening was filled with shared ideas to continue to grow the organization and make monthly events benefi- cial and fun for all members of the founding chapter of ILEA, formerly known as ISES (International Special Events Society).

"We found it to be beneficial to bring these influential leaders together. Their extensive industry knowledge, support of our organization and industry, and their lead- ership helped guide and direct our current Board to develop a strong plan that will benefit and develop our members" stated Erin Crofchick, current President of the Chapter. "While we continue to recognize Past President’s at each meeting, we found it extremely important to bring them together, reconnect with one another and allow our current board the opportunity to build relationships with the professionals who stood in our shoes previously."

"It is so infrequent that we get to gather as leaders past and present" stated Phyllis Jablonowski, Owner of Eventricity and a Past President of the Chapter. "Normally, we are all hosting and networking, and at this event we were able to be completely social. It was wonderful to catch up with old friends and establish a relationship with the new leaders. It was wonderful to be hosted so graciously by Kris Fair and his team at Bluestone Country Club and it was humbling to have industry partners DFW and Party Rental Ltd. enhance such a beautiful environment. We were able to pass along history and hear the new vision of things to come - and we need to do this more often!"

"With guidance from these previous leaders, we are working on joint Chapter meetings, speaking opportuni- ties for ILEA members once a month, and more meet- ings to both increase your network and offer exciting, must-see educational experiences," said Erin Crofchick.

The Chapter has the annual ILEA Live Educational Scholarship fund that is awarded, through application, to an ILEA Greater Philadelphia member each year at the Liberty Awards Gala. Creating more experiences like this is what the Chapter continues to strive toward, again with the help of these leaders. Photo Credit: Mario Oliveto Photography
