CACI facial PLUS and intensive, extended jowl lift skincare tips Autumn
As we wave goodbye to summer and say hello to a new season, the leaves aren’t the only things that are going to change.
Our skin can also look and feel
different in autumn as it recovers from the hot, sun-soaked summer months and prepares for colder temperatures. Summer can leave your skin
dehydrated, dry and generally lacklustre thanks to over-exposure to sun, chlorine and salt water; but the harsh autumnal weather, cranking up the central heating and pre-Christmas stress can also make matters worse. While there are so many factors
that can affect skin health, seasonal changes are ones that shouldn’t be ignored. A few helpful hints and tweaks to your beauty regime could help you beat the autumn skin blues.
WRAP UP WARM When going out, keeping as
much of your body wrapped up away from the autumnal elements can be a key factor in keeping your skin in great condition. Hats, scarves and gloves are a great way to protect your sensitive skin against the cooler temperatures and gusty winds which can dry out skin.
LIP CARE Chapped lips are not pleasant
and can appear for any number of reasons. Keeping your lips lovely and soft may seem like an ongoing battle but it’s certainly worth it. Keep a lip balm in your hand
bag and apply regularly if your lips are dry or chapped.
CHANGE YOUR SKIN CARE ROUTINE Your daily skin care routine
should change slightly for autumn. Using the same light beauty products you used in the summer may not be suitable for the rapid change in temperatures. Use a thick, rich and nourishing
moisturiser packed full of natural goodness to help keep your skin hydrated and prevent skin from drying out and becoming flaky. Cream or lotion based cleansers are also less drying than foam or gel ones and help lock in moisture. Regular exfoliation is really
important to help achieve a healthy glowing skin by removing dead skin cells, increasing cellular regeneration and helping products be easily absorbed. And don’t forget the UV
protection.
TAKE CARE FROM WITHIN Remember to take care of your
body from the inside. Keeping yourself hydrated by drinking water is a great way to keep your skin looking great as the cold damp air will remove moisture from the skin easily. What you eat in also an
important factor; cooking with coconut oil instead of regular olive oil will reduce the amount of saturated fat into your body, which will keep those nasty spots at bay.
