Vulture Awareness Ages 7-9

Come join us in celebrating the earth’s very own garbage disposal, the Vulture. Learn about the two types of vultures that can be found in Illinois and why vultures are important and unique components of their ecosystems. Create a vulture themed-craft and try your hand at scavenging in the forest.

Bring your child and explore a different nature topic each day. Play fun games, make a simple craft, and read a short story. Each day will bring something fun and unique! Children must be accompanied by an adult, the fee is per couple.

Did you know there’s only one cave in the Aurora area? There is, and it’s right here at Red Oak Nature Center! Join us as we hike through the woods enjoying the sights and sounds of the season as we head to Red Oak’s Cave. All must be registered and children must be accompanied by an adult.
