Te Inn Teater Company at Dartmouth Castle Enjoy Theatre in the Open Air
If you want to enjoy some theatrical culture in some historical and truly dramatic surroundings there are a number of productions taking place in the region. Dartmouth Shakespeare Week 24 – 28 July is always a highlight. This year’s production A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed against the familiar and stunning backdrop of Dartmouth Castle.

Nourish Festival
Craft, food and music 1 September - BOVEY TRACEY Art, culture and food rolled into one at this Festival in Bovey Tracey when the town comes alive for a weekend of events designed to feed the body, mind and the senses. Nourish is a community initiative led by The Contemporary Craft Festival, Devon Guild of Craftsmen and The Cheese Shed.

Ponder life and literature at Ways With Words
The region’s biggest literary festival returns for 10 days from 6 – 16 July. This is the chance to meet, mingle and listen to an eclectic and distinguished range of writers, thinkers and commentators in an action packed programme amongst the inspiring surroundings of Dartington Hall. Speakers include Tariq Ali, Bryony Gordon, Frank Gardner, David Owen, Lynne Truss, Penelope Lively, Roy Strong and many more. Fully immerse yourself for days or just pop in for the afternoon.
