MEMBERNEWS Double award win for partnership

The Win Global Exposure campaign between Chamber member Leicester City Football Club and DHL, a Chamber Strategic Partner, has scooped a prestigious double at the UK Sponsorship Awards 2018, held at the London Marriot Hotel in Grosvenor Square. The innovative campaign – which

offers small and medium-sized British businesses the opportunity to win free advertising at King Power Stadium - scooped two prizes on the night despite tough competition from some of the biggest names in the industry. First came the International Sponsorship award, which was soon followed by the celebrated Sponsorship Innovation of the Year award – recognition for a relationship between Leicester City and its official logistics partner that keeps going from strength-to- strength. The campaign was also

shortlisted for Best Domestic Football Sponsorship and Business- to-Business Sponsorship. The aim of the campaign was to

help UK businesses to grow internationally by using Leicester City to give them a platform to reach the Premier League’s huge global audience. It was described by the judging panel as an ‘ingenious partnership’ that left them wondering why others had not done this before. Leicester City’s partnership with

worldwide logistics company DHL is now into a fifth season, with the campaign demonstrating the incredible commercial benefits of Premier League partnerships through increased exposure throughout the footballing world.

Vehicle management company Total Motion is celebrating further award success after being named Leicester Mercury Company of the Year for 2018. The rapidly-expanding firm, based at Meridian Business Park, fought off

creation, commitment to corporate social responsibility and proven track record in innovation. Managing Director Simon Hill said a combination of factors are enabling

the company to secure new business and exceed its targets in a highly competitive marketplace. He said: “We’re thrilled to be Leicester Mercury Company of the Year.

Winning this title is further testament to the hard work and dedication of the Total Motion team and we’re looking forward to building on our many achievements to date.” Total Motion, founded by Simon in 1999, is now the UK’s largest

privately-owned leasing and fleet management company. It has doubled its workforce to more than 80 in the past two years, and
