A Mint experience


After building up a trusted name in the local motoring industry, spanning almost 90 years and four generations, Grant and McAllin car dealership in Sheffield has recently been acquired by another credible family business and has been given a fresh, new name with Burrows Mint Cars.


Renowned for their customer care, pristine fleet of used vehicles and profound attention to detail, when Grant and McAllin’s former owner Tom Atack was looking to retire last year he turned to life-long friend and fellow motor dealer, Steve Burrows, to help keep the family business’ ethos alive.


Steve is a prominent name in the local motor trade, having amassed six dealerships across South Yorkshire since launching Burrows Motor Company in 1999 thanks to his team’s hard work and commitment to customer service. The group employs around 350 staff and represents makes such as Toyota, Kia and Mazda.


Burrows Mint Cars sees a new direction for the company, becoming the group’s first dedicated used car showroom.


Perched on the edge of Rother Valley Country Park, the expansive showroom houses an array of makes and models, all in mint condition, with fresh stock arriving daily.


While the name may have changed, the new owners have retained the same core elements that the business has been built on.


From sales to servicing staff, the friendly and familiar faces that their customers have come to know and trust have remained with the company, joined by new members of the team.


Mint by name, mint by nature, every used car that appears on the showroom floor has been painstakingly cared for by the servicing and valeting team, taking anything up to five days preparation before a vehicle is forecourt worthy. Along with a dedicated valet area underneath the showroom, Burrows Mint Cars also has a pristine seven- bay servicing workshop. Along with full services to manufacturers’ specifications, they are also a


Class 7 MOT specialist, taking care of commercial goods vehicles weighing up to 3,500kg.
