AROUND TOWN

A new age of learning with the U3A

Are you over 55, no longer in full-time work and looking for a new outlet in your spare time?

Why not visit the Rotherham U3A’s annual fair to hear more about the range of groups, classes and activities they offer to improve the quality of both life and learning for the older community in Rotherham.

Since 1994, the Rotherham U3A branch has grown to amass over 400 members who regularly take part in various groups that meet weekly or monthly.

Whatever your skills or interests, there is a class for you including embroidery, foreign languages, singing, dancing and gardening.

Due to a recent growth in numbers, the available classes have now expanded to include two more art groups plus a family history class on Tuesdays.

U3A have also recently teamed up with Age UK Rotherham to enhance opportunities for older people in the town and are looking forward to their working partnership moving forward. Age UK will also have a stall at the fair.

Whether it be to gain new interests, revisit old hobbies or meet new people, take the first steps to joining the U3A at their upcoming summer fair on Tuesday 10th July where there will be stalls and exhibitions on the day for all the
