This program gives kids a chance to explore soil and the creatures that call it home. They will get messy as they poke around through compost and soil to discover squirmy and crawly creatures. Kids can discover what it is like to finger paint with mud as they create a mud masterpiece and see just what it takes to make a muddy mess!

Bug Fest

Join us for a day full of fun and bugs! This annual FREE event has you searching for bugs from Lippold Park to Red Oak and all the stops along the way. A free shuttle takes you to and from the event if you park at Schneider School. Buggy presentations, visiting bug enthusiasts and much more await you at this year’s Bug Fest! No registration required. Snacks, beverages, and other concessions will be available for a small fee. Additional parking is available at Schneider School. Small buses and vans will be available to shuttle you to the event starting at 9:30 am and will end at 2 pm. Handicapped parking and shuttle drop off at Red Oak only, all other parking at Lippold Park and Schneider School.
