They have barely been open two years, but Who’s Your Caddy is already a repeat winner in the Best of Medicine Hat awards.
The golf store on Dunmore Road is a dream come true for local duffers regardless of whether they play 72 rounds a year, 72 holes or have never picked up a club but want to check out the sport.
“You get all the range, right from scratch golfers all the way up to beginners coming in and getting fit for proper clubs, which is important,” said co-owner Brian Oliphant.

52 years in the business and decided to open Who’s Your Caddy after working together at Desert Blume. The location features a high-tech launch monitor system, putting surface, and just about every golf-related product under the sun. They even do club repair.
“People that want new clubs can have them here by the time the courses open,” said Oliphant. “Club fitting, club repair, we’ve both been in the business a long time.”
And because they’re both golf pros, they also offer lessons. The result is a one-stop shop for everything from tee to green.

Who’s Your Caddy has all the latest fashions and club technology, such as the intriguing Twist Face from TaylorMade. Marketing aside though, any pro will tell you that getting your clubs fit to you personally can have a far greater impact than the newest tech — and yes, it helps even for a beginner.
What does being named the best sporting goods store mean to the duo?
“I think it’s awesome. It’s great recognition and it shows that we’re obviously off to a good start,” said Eakins, who had run a pair of GolfTown stores in Calgary prior to moving to Medicine Hat. “People know we’re here, they’re liking the experience that they have in here.”
