The Devon Guild of Craftsmen

THE contemporary crafts venue has a friendly cafe, two galleries and large shop in a beautiful riverside setting in Bovey Tracey. The cosy cafe, with rooftop terrace, is a great

place to meet up with friends and family. Bread, cakes and scones crafted in-house plus delicious lunches from locally produced seasonal ingredients. Varied diets are catered for including fish and

meat-eaters, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. There is a children’s play corner and free

WiFi. Gallery spaces show the best in

contemporary craft from the south west, UK and beyond. All Jubilee Gallery exhibitions have free

activities which are especially popular with families and the long-established scheme, Freehand, places artists and makers directly in schools and communities as part of their charitable work. Free entry with a wide-ranging and popular

annual programme of exhibitions, events and workshops. Pick up or request a brochure or go to www.crafts.org.uk to find out what’s happening.

The Devon Guild has also helped establish

two major festivals in the town – The Contemporary Craft Festival (June) and Nourish Festival of music, food and craft (September). Follow the Devon Guild on Facebook, Twitter

and Instagram to keep up with the cultural life of the town.

FREE ADMISSION Open 7 days a week, 10am to 5.30pm.
