Bovey Tracey Lawn Tennis Club

BOVEY Tracey Lawn Tennis Club will offer you the opportunity to enjoy the many pleasures of playing tennis. Come and join us – we are always

happy to include new members. We embrace all levels of ability,

from starting small children off with a racquet and ball under the guiding eye of our LTA accredited coach Ryan Bougourd, to social mornings of good quality tennis during the week. For the player who is a little reluctant to

renew a previously held enthusiasm there is a ‘Back To Tennis’ evening on Thursdays, run by Ryan, to revise and rekindle those skills. Once re- established, players are encouraged to join in club

nights on Mondays from 7pm and Thursdays from 8pm.

If really keen, players can join in the ladies’, men’s, and mixed teams that play in the Exeter and South Hams Leagues. During the year we run friendly

mixed tournaments and internal competitions, usually combined with a

social get-together. Do come and join us for casual

tennis, competitions or coaching from our excellent coach. Contact the club coach, Ryan Bougourd, on

07814 395564 or Melanie Kempson on 01626 833939, www.boveytraceyltc.com.

Bovey Tracey Bowling Club

BOVEY Tracey Bowling Club is situated in the Recreation Ground adjoining the cricket and tennis clubs. Vehicular access is from Newton Road, Bovey Tracey, TQ13 9PF. There is ample parking available. This is a well-established

club which celebrated its centenary in 2011. Originally connected with the cricket club, it became independent in 1980 with its own clubhouse which was replaced in 2008. There is a busy fixture list for 2017 with both

men’s and ladies’ leagues, friendly matches, a weekly club evening, club tournaments and

44

competitions. Also, in the winter, there are opportunities for indoor bowling for both roll-ups and matches against local indoor clubs. Off the green, there are a

number of ‘out of season’ social activities, including

weekly art and bridge groups. The club would welcome

enquiries from anyone interested in

joining – both experienced and new bowlers. Please contact Club Secretary Sue Martin on 01626 830647.
