The Dartmoor pony is an endangered breed. Based at Parke, Bovey Tracey, the Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust is committed to ensuring that the traditional ponies remain on the moor. Run largely by


volunteers, the centre is home to ponies available for adoption and is regularly open to visitors. We deliver innovative

educational ‘Ponies Inspiring People’ programmes, using Dartmoor ponies as the ‘platform for learning’ for young people with a range of life challenges. Volunteer with us or


book a FREE guided walk at Bellever! A great half day walk suitable for family, friends, clubs, schools - anyone of any age will enjoy our ‘Dartmoor Experience’!
