Every day in nature is a new adventure waiting to happen. Join us for a new adventure, whether it’s a craft or a game or a special hike there’s something fun to do every day. No registration is required, just come to the front desk of the Red Oak Nature Center at 2343 S. River St. to enjoy a fun day in this blast from Red Oak’s past.
Cave Hike All Ages

Did you know there’s only one cave in the Aurora area? There is, and it’s at Red Oak Nature Center! You’ll hear the legend of how this unique geological formation was given its haunting name before we journey out to the cave. Join us as we hike through the woods enjoying the sights and sounds of the season as we head to Red Oak’s Cave. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Illuminating Eggstravaganza Ages 5+ with adult

Spring time is when animals lay their eggs! Come find out the different types of eggs one can find in the spring and then join us for a nighttime glow-in-the-dark egg hunt. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The fee is per person.
