the Cotswolds and down to Bristol and Bath.
“Our heritage gives us a head start in understanding the benefits that water can bring to our fitness and wellbeing. “We understand that choosing and buying a hot tub or swim spa can feel complicated at times so rest assured, whether you are looking for relaxation, swim training, family fun or a combination of all three, we have a spa to suit and the expertise to help you select it.” Director, Simon Butland, was the inspiration for the new business and acts as primary sales consultant. He says: “As a Hydropool owner myself, I love the days I get to spend in our showroom, helping customers understand the benefits of our Hydropool hot tubs and swim spas and then working out which one is right for them.”
IRON MAN
Practising what they preach, Simon is able to personally vouch for both the quality of the product and the fun you can have in them. Simon is in the final stages of training for his latest Ironman Triathlon using the 17-foot Aqua Trainer swim spa as a key training tool. The team plan to continue with their focus on exercise and wellness and are planning to take a display hot tub to as many local fitness events as they can, to help people experience the benefits, and fun, of hydrotherapy.
Alison helps Simon run the showroom and in particular keeps the store well-stocked with all the water care products customers need to keep their hot tubs and swim spas in pristine working order. Alison comments: “Given our home improvement and design heritage, we are keen to be able to offer customers additional products and services that are complementary to our Hydropool hot tubs and swim spas.
ABOVE: Alison Carter believes the company is building on its trading heritage.
“We believe it is important for you to be able to ‘try before you buy’ so we have working models of our most popular hot tubs and swim spas for you to test in private - with a little advanced notice.” The company’s most popular hot tub sale so far has been the self-cleaning 670 model. It is a six-person hot tub with an extremely comfortable never-float lounger that can accommodate a wide range of heights and supremely comfortable corner seats which deliver a variety of targeted neck, back, wrist and calf hydro-massage options.
SHIPPING CONTAINERS
An unusual design, the Cheltenham showroom boasts two converted shipping containers – one acting as the sales office. “They make a real statement in the showroom and also demonstrate to our customers that we think creatively about space and design,” Alison explains. “We have even had a few enquiries about doing the same for some of our customers,” she adds. ““It’s been so satisfying to hear from our customers already how thrilled they are with the choices they have made,” adds Alison. “Longer term, we plan to expand our wellness offering to include outdoor and indoor saunas and steam rooms,” she says. “As with the other areas of our business, we want to be known for our product knowledge, installation expertise and customer service. “We are here to help our customers unlock the potential a hot tub or swim spa can bring to their lives.”
