Recognising the role of websites in the marketing of wet leisure businesses, the Pool Website Of The Year was split between Guncast Pools as best retailer or pool builder site and Ocea UK as best supplier/ wholesaler site. Specialist judges described the Guncast Pools web presence as ‘simply stunning’ while praising the interactive Ocea UK site for ‘raising the bar’ of swimming pool product supply. Concluding the Business Awards categories, the hotly contested category of Marketing Initiative Of The Year was dominated by spa and hot tub companies showing the pool companies a clean set of heels with some outstanding video, television and sales incentive initiatives.

BY SPECIAL REQUEST Tanby Pools’ Neil Bevan became the inaugural winner of the title Pool Technician of The Year at this year’s UK Pool & Spa Awards.
Neil is an extremely conscientious engineer, he is very popular with both clients and colleagues, his employers told the judges.

“He does not clock watch and never questions the need to finish a task regardless of time.” Neil passed four Institute of Swimming Pool Engineer examinations at the first time of taking and as such he has the theory to back-up his technical skills.
