TRADITIONAL STYLE More traditional in design, Falcon Pools, exceeded their clients’ expectations by giving them a 10m x 5m fully-tiled concrete pool with auto slatted cover with a raised spa looking over the pool hall. The installation was the third of three winners in a busy indoor pool category.

PORTRAIT GALLERY With a strong focus on lighting, Portrait Pools created an outstanding basement pool to fit in with the lifestyle of their clients. The Portrait team created a 10 x 4.5 x 1.35 constant water depth basement pool next to the clients bar and entertaining area. Due to the lack of natural light in the pool hall, Portrait needed to use tiles in the tank which would reflect and bounce light back into the room. The team managed this with a stunning metal-effect mosaic. The bespoke 3D wall and natural colours throughout the hall make this a bright, calm and relaxing area. The stretched ceiling also helps to reflect as well as looking super clean and modern.

CAPITAL PROJECT Remembering the UK Pool & Spa Awards aim to recognise the outstanding work of as many pools as possible, there was a three- way tie in the category of Residential Indoor Pool Of The Year. The multi-award winning team from Buckingham Pools created a 4.584m x 4.30m x 1.00m deep basement swimming pool in a London terrace home.
The architect gave a very strict design brief on this pool, Buckingham told the judges. The pool was fairly small but had to have a full glass side to allow the pool water to be seen from all parts of the basement level.
