assess how good your coding is and upskill your staff to ensure that errors are minimised. As not all forms can be auto-read, many are entered by hand, so using codes from memory, forgetting that the quantity has changed from items to mls, or writing an 8 that looks like a 5, etc. can all lead to errors which ultimately leads to underpayment.
If YoU DoN’t chEcK, YoU DoN’t gEt! Ensuring your prescription bundles are sent in with as few errors as possible is only half the story. Every pharmacy should check their
payment is correct. Not just checking for expensive items, but any items that has the wrong item or quantity code can lead to a meaningful underpayment. It makes good sense to check and is fairly easy to do.
however, at UcA we recognise that your time is precious and there are lots of things you need to do. we can’t come to your shop and dispense for you, but we can check the payment for you and follow-up with BSo. It’s very easy to do, so for more information, call the UcA team on 028 9065 6576.
