Keep organised for all events with this handmade personal organiser.

YOU WILL NEED • 2 pieces of thick red A3 card

• Gold alphabet and border peel offs

• Girl topper and patterned card pack

• Flower punch or die • Ribbon

• Double sided tape and foam pads

• Card candy

All the above items are available from Craft Corner

METHOD

1. Cut one piece of red A3 card 13” x 8.25”. With cut card horizontal, score at 6” and 7” from top to bottom to create a spine.

2. From your other piece of A3 card cut two rectangles of 6” x 4.5”, scoring at 1/4” and 1/2” in from the edge on three sides only. This will create the inside pockets.

3. Cut away the bottom corner on each piece and fold on score lines.

4. Cut your ribbon in half and attach to inside edge of covers with tape.

5. Using double-sided tape,

attach pockets trapping ribbon underneath.

6. Use patterned card from your pack to trim top and bottom of pockets and spine. Add gold border peel offs around all edges and use alphabet peel off to spell Birthdays and Christmas or whatever ideas you’d like to keep organised.

7. Cut a piece from the patterned card and attach to front of organiser.

8. Use the card ribbon in your pack to decorate the top and bottom, trimming all edges with gold border peel off.

9. Mat and layer your girl topper with the remaining red card and attach to front with foam pads.

10. Punch or die cut four flowers and attach to your topper. Finish the flower middles with card candy.

11. Create a perpetual calendar so you can keep track of everyone’s birthday and a set of lined paper for your Christmas names and addresses. I created mine in Microsoft word but there are free downloads available on the internet.

Your organiser is now complete. Happy Crafting! aroundtownmagazine.co.uk 35
