Fitness Flex’s flagship venue, the Metrodome complex has two fitness suites, two studios as well as a spin studio with MyRide interactive cycling. Up your gym routine with the XCube functional training rig or relax after your exercise session in the pool, steam room and sauna.


At Hoyland, they too have a functional training zone plus two pools for lane swimming and aqua classes. For sports enthusiasts, Hoyland also has


a large sports hall for activities like badminton, basketball and indoor football.


Named after Barnsley’s Olympic hero, the Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre has a 400m athletics track for competitors to set a personal best out on the field. Or swim and gym at Dearneside and Royston.


Taking part in a group exercise session is a sure way to keep motivated and Fitness Flex’s large range of classes will suit all members. Combine strength and cardio with the likes of 202020, boot camp style circuits and sculpt and tone classes. Work both your mind and body with yoga and Pilates. Have fun while getting fit with dance aerobics and Zumba. Or try aqua-based classes in the pool such as swimfit, aqua jog and even aqua zumba.
