Something old, something borrowed during

pieces that keep fond memories alive. After 22 years together, one man from Rotherham wanted rings that are extra special to him and his wife-to-be at their long awaited nuptials.
Having bought his partner’s engagement ring from Infinity Jewellers, the man turned to Jonathan once again to help choose wedding rings which would symbolise their enduring love and journey together.
While discussing options for bespoke rings, Jonathan noticed the gold ring he was already wearing and questioned whether he wanted something similar making.
The ring had been inherited from his father, with a second gold ring at home once belonging to his grandfather. Jonathan proposed using both of these to create something new. “I’m not the biggest jewellery fan and, while I can cope with wearing a wedding ring, I’ve never liked the idea of wearing two rings together.
“Jonathan’s idea of turning my existing ring into something new meant I could keep my dad and grandad with me at all times.” Creating a separate gold band from each of the rings, these
would encase a platinum central band. Combining three generations together, the finished result is minimal and clean yet with a heartfelt message for a down-to-earth family man.
As a nurse, his partner had specific requirements as to the sort of ring she would be allowed to wear for work and so Jonathan designed an elegant, understated band that would fit around her engagement ring. “The whole experience was so easy and never felt rushed. We even received a booklet at the end as a memento of the re-born process.”

Something new, something blue
Sometimes, the excitement of choosing your dream engagement ring is often overshadowed by the practicality of subsequently one day finding a wedding band that matches. At Infinity, they recently created a bespoke wedding band for a lady to fit perfectly with her expensive, high street engagement ring. Although an exquisite ring with hand selected diamonds making up a double halo ring head, the designer range doesn’t include matching wedding bands that fit each individual ring. Through a complex process, the goldsmith at Infinity assessed the finer details of the lady’s ring in terms of diamond colour and clarity to be able to produce a band that looks like the two were made for each other.
With a large cluster head, the wedding band needed to be able to support the engagement ring without taking away too much of its show stopping design – the diamond band blending effortlessly with it.
A signature style feature, the engagement ring also had a hidden sapphire under the cluster head which Infinity replicated in the wedding band.
Thanks to Infinity’s bespoke service, the two rings now marry together in perfect harmony.
