e were planning to start the New Year with a few less daily sweet treats, but having received so many chocolates and biscuits for Christmas we were forced to bring some to work.
If however you have a little more willpower than us, we have featured local health and slimming clubs who can support you in reaching your health or weight target.
Romance is in the air with Valentine’s Day this
February and we have suggestions on where you could take your valentine for a romantic meal. If you prefer a night in to show off your culinary skills then we hope our recipe ideas impress.
If February 14th brought a proposal then there are a host of local businesses who can help you start planning your dream day. For wedding guests, now is the time to start looking for your perfect outfit with the local boutiques introducing new, exciting collections.
Take a step back in time to when South Yorkshire’s industry was thriving and rediscover how both Rotherham and Barnsley were once known for their booming industries.
One former industrial home, Magna, will once again be the chosen venue for this year’s Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival as it returns in March. It promises to be bigger and better than ever as they celebrate their silver anniversary with the best party in town.
Special thanks go to Roger Walton for welcoming us into his home to share his lifetime experiences in the world of theatre in Barnsley – a true showman at heart.
We hope the first edition of 2018 lifts your spirits and gives you a little inspiration on the cold winter days.
