HEALTH & BEAUTY Happy New by Chris Moody of Moody Hair, Darfield, Barnsley
Lots of us decide to begin our New Year with resolutions of getting fit and healthy. Trips to the new gym are supported by healthy food choices and no end of supplements.
So while you’re getting your body in shape, you may as well start to get your hair in shape too with visits to the hair salon supported by healthy hair choices and a great selection of hair products. Having beautiful, healthy and shiny hair is an ideal way to start looking and feeling healthier allover and it all begins with the right choices for your hair. Whether you want to cut off your dead ends and start afresh, want to grow long but healthy hair, or are in need of a shiny new colour, a professional stylist will have tips and knowledge for what hair care regime suits your 2018 goals.

If you buy from the high street, try to get the best quality products you can afford; often with hair products you really do get what you pay for.
Shampoo and condition regularly and gently, always carefully blot your hair and never, ever, towel rub!

little more, you would use them less often. Look for nourishing protein and moisturising creams. Wheat proteins are often used for strength and Shea Butter, Avocado and Jojoba Oil as well as Aloe Vera are great ingredients that really moisturise tired hair. Always get your hair cut on a regular basis, even of you want to grow it. It’s the perfect way to keep a check on your healthy locks.
If you fancy some amazing inspiration, we at Moodyhair are proudly supporting our good friend and international celebrity hairdresser Andrew Barton, who trained here at Moodyhair and worked as a stylist. His new ex exhibition, Beehives, Bobs and Blow-dries, charts the influence of hair and hairdressing from the 1950’s through to today. The exhibition debuts at Barnsley Civic in February before going on an international tour throughout 2018.
