The continuing success of activities such as the Mini Aces Club for under-fives, Saturday Science Club and the Youth Panel for teenagers, talks and day courses for adults as well as family workshops during events and holidays is one of our main ob- jectives for the future.
During the next few years it is our aim to con- tinue to grow, develop and renew so that our learning offer to visitors of all ages and abilities can be a relevant and enjoyable one. Keep an eye out for updates and new offers, via our website or the Bulletin, as we continue along this new, exciting journey.
Virginia Smith Mini Aces Club
Have you got a child under five years old? Why not join us for our monthly Mini Aces under-fives club. Our sessions are packed full of craft activities, nursery rhymes and stories. So far this year our Mini Aces have explored behind the scenes in our Library, made liquid mixtures as mini-scientists and enjoyed a story on one of the big red buses in the London Bus Museum. We run sessions on the second Thursday of the month (except during school holidays). For more information please contact me via oliviafrench@
brooklandsmuseum.com or check our website for upcoming sessions.
Young Photographer Competition We had so many fantastic entries for the Young Photographer Competition this year that our judges struggled to choose the winners. Now that they have been announced, their photographs will be displayed in the Art Gallery in the Clubhouse, so come and see their work during the October half-term.
Mini Aces enjoy the view from the Library (Olivia French).

Saturday Science – Cars and Robots V2 Our new Saturday Science workshops launch in a few weeks on 11th November, with the second session in January 2018. These hands-on programming sessions are designed for 10 to 14- year-old students with an interest in robotics. Family activities
Join us during the school holidays for a variety of free craft and STEM-based activities suitable for children of all ages. Our October half-term activity will combine art and science as we look at centrifugal forces by creating ‘spinning art’. During the Christmas holidays come and help
us create some colour to light up the dark days as the year draws to a close, by making mini paper fireworks. All materials are provided for these drop-in sessions. Brooklands Youth Panel The Brooklands Youth Panel will be getting a sneak peek inside the new Hangar before learning about some of the demonstrations and how to run some of the interactive exhibits during the weekends. As we approach the festive season they will also be running two Christmas STEM drop-in workshops for five to 10-year-olds from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday 2nd December (Paper House Lanterns) and Saturday 9th Decem- ber (Melting Baubles). The drop-in workshops cost £2.00 per child and for more information please contact me via oliviafrench@brook-
