Surprises Brooklands is busy most of the time with great events most weekends. But it is the weekdays that often bring surprises and recently a brand new Ford GT appeared in the Paddock for an Autocar photo-shoot with two cars that inspired it – a Porsche and a Radical. It goes to show that you never quite know what is going to happen at Brooklands – we are trying to let you know if there are club events or other occasions that you may be interested in, but you’ll need to keep an eye on the Museum’s (and our) social media for that short notice information. We are considering a text message service for such things and were wondering if you thought it might be a good idea, or do you get enough texts on your mobile any- way? Would it be of interest or use to members?
In memory of... Sadly, each issue we do lose some of our members
and we’d like to pass the condolences of the Brooklands Trust Members, Chairman and Committee to the families of the following who we have been notified have recently passed away. Albert Kitchenside – a very early member of the Friends of Brooklands, joining in 1989, and supporter of the Museum. Albert was also a Museum volunteer. His wife Monica continues the membership. Colin Flint – from Addlestone, a member for over six years.
Lindsay Johnson – from Bromley, a double member with his wife Filiz for over 18 years. Christopher Chapman – from Loxwood West Sussex, a Club level member for just a short while.
Graham Prevost – from Weybridge, a long-term member and supporter of Brooklands for over 21 years. His wife Anne continues the membership. David Smith – from Leamington Hastings, Warwickshire, he enjoyed supporting the Museum from afar.
