Digby, daughter of one of our members, because her fluency in French made all the difference in sorting out treatments. All the Brooklands bikes ran well and our riders enjoyed their experience of the ‘almost Brooklands’ track. The size of the Brooklands display and the interest shown by visitors certainly promoted the Museum well. Great thanks go to Tony who shouldered a lot of responsibility and carried it nobly.

FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY O

n 2nd March OnlyMotors TV filmed an extensive interview for its ‘#petrolheads’ series with Lee Cunningham, who is well known to the Museum as he used to be one of the drivers in the Silver Arrows display team at Mercedes- Benz World. The interview can be viewed at http://tv.onlymotors.com/lee-cunningham/ At the end of March, OnlyMotors TV returned and spent the day at the Museum for a special programme called ‘OMI: Brooklands Museum’ due to be aired sometime in June (OMI standing for Only Motors Interactive). The presenter spoke with Allan Winn, Ralph Brough and, in the Dunlop Mac Shed, Peter Bourne. On 18th April Brooklands regular Lorne Jacobs was at the Museum with his Napier Bluebird recreation which was photographed on the Banking for a forthcoming article in Octane magazine. On 28th April this year’s winner of Best Classic Mini at Mini Day in March, John Pook, was invited to bring his 1966 Austin Countryman back to Brooklands for a shoot by Mini World magazine.
