continuous, so if you renew before your expiry date then it will stay the same each year. Renew in the month after expiry and the expiry will still keep the original expiry date. Memberships are not ‘lapsed’ until the third reminder has been sent out (a month after expiry). Lapsed renewals after that time are treated as new memberships and will expire as per new members above (although you may retain your original membership number).

In memory of... Sadly, each issue we lose some of our members and we’d like to pass the condolences of the Brooklands Trust Members, Chairman and Committee to the families of the following who we have been notified have recently passed away.

brought along around 40 of our club MGFs this year. They were parked on the Campbell Lawn with plenty of others on the Banking too, making the F/TF the largest model group once again. The event celebrated the 50th anniversary of the MGC, which had pride of place in the Paddock with some lovely examples. There is a report on this event elsewhere in this Bulletin. The Classic Breakfasts are increasing in popularity and there

are always plenty of

members attending those, as they do the ‘Natter’ night on the second Tuesday of each month. Known as ‘Danny’s Night’, it’s a great oppor- tunity for general classic chit-chat. There is also a new VSCC ‘Natter’ on the first Monday of the month at Brooklands, which is aimed at the pre-war crowd and Brooklands Trust Members are also very welcome too.

Renewal expiry dates Following a member’s query, here is a reminder on renewals and how they work. Memberships run monthly, expiring on the first day of the month after you joined (ie if you join on 20th May 2017, expiry is 1st June 2018). Membership is then
