DELIVERING QUALITY
OVER QUANTITY Starting in a new industry is always daunting and due diligence does provide a strategy and where to focus your attention
Five years have now passed and Boston Energy continue to grow each year and increase their portfolio of services to the Energy and Renewables Industry. The original approach of bringing aviation engineers to renewables, cross training them to meet peak demands in the Energy industry ‘work season’ and then returning them to Aviation has proved to be a sensible plan that the company still carry out now. The approach of the company in recruiting, training and enhancing a select group of engineers, boasting a range of aviation, electrical, mechanical and maintenance backgrounds has provided an increased level of technical capability to client O+M activities, reduced supervision needs from clients through Competent Technician Authorisations and enhanced courses and instilled a must not fail attitude across their teams, with a positive image of a company committed to quality over quantity.
DIVERSIFICATION Boston Energy has diversified from service maintenance support into construction, assembly, installation and commission of onshore WTG
assets, valuing each part of the life cycle and are fully involved in process improvements, re-engineering methods and promoting best practice. Their systems are accredited to ISO and UKAS standards and they have drawn their business methodology from the highly regulated Aviation standards of their parent group; BostonAir.
‘ONE STOP SHOP’
Development and moving with the business model of acquisition or teaming up for a ‘one stop shop’ solution has seen selective partnering with like-minded organisations and has been how the company have developed a broad range of services, benefitting from the best practice of all partners, their accreditations and knowledge base and importantly keeping the core specialism of each organisation relevant as its prime offering to the umbrella of services.
HMF Crane Services became part of the Boston Group in 2016. The same core principles of quality over quantity and rigorous selection has seen HMF grow into a highly reputable brand.
The company believe the wider industry will identify their offer and utilise Boston Energy, HMF and their partners in their commitment to safety, quality and lowering the cost of energy through efficient support, maintenance programmes and an attitude that pushes for maximum asset generation at all times.
