MMS Ship Repair is located on the River Humber at the hub of the North Sea’s shipping route, providing a complete repair and refit service for ship owners


The shipyard was established in 1988 and, since that time, it has been continually developed to provide ship owners with well-equipped facilities and a professional service. The shipyard has two dry docks, substantial quay space, a new build construction hall, fully equipped workshops and a comprehensive range of machinery and equipment coupled with a directly employed, skilled workforce.


In line with its development, the company continues to provide a

personal service to customers and it has established longstanding relationships with national and international ship owning and ship management companies as well as smaller organisations and single ship operators.


The company also offers an expert mobile service for vessels visiting any of the Humber ports and can provide riding squads if required.


INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED SERVICE The management team is organised so that one of the shipyard managers oversees a repair project from beginning to end. The managers work in partnership with ship owners and ship’s representatives, providing them with a service that is designed to meet their individual requirements and preferences.


They also have their own directly employed workforce and ship owners comment that the benefits of a longstanding and committed workforce are evident when their ships are at the yard. All tradesmen are time-served and the team of welders are Lloyds coded ensuring quality and reliability.


FACILITIES


The company has a newly built 30m x 10m construction hall; facilities onsite include site cranage, access platforms, fully equipped workshops, high pressure washing, including deck and tank cleaning, grit blasting equipment for external/internal steel preparation, and quality spray equipment.
