Page 7 Wind problem? Not any more....!
Rosina and Bill Dunham have lived in Jesus Pobre near Jávea for 6 years and are approximately 4 years into their 5 year house renovation project.
Both Rosina and Bill are keen members of Benitachell Bowls Club, so when they needed a new door for their guest casita, they approached LUX-AL preferring to support one of the Benitachell Bowls Club's long-standing sponsors.
And they were very pleased indeed with what LUX-AL did for them. The casita’s door was entirely rotten and broken so LUX-AL replaced it with a new aluminium high-security door.
As time moved on various other work at their house was needed, and LUX-AL again excelled themselves both in terms of design and installation.
And just recently Rosina and Bill’s most recent project has been to add a new security door and glass curtains to their naya in the main house. “It has made a world of difference” says Bill. “The cold wind used to whistle through this whole naya area, and it was basically unusable in the winter. Now we have extra space and from March until November we eat most of our meals out here.” Rosina is quick to agree “We love this area now, it is absolutely wonderful, it has really improved our house”.
“It was not an easy job for them either” remarks Bill who continues “Because of the profiling of the surrounding Tosca Stone archway, the door had to be very carefully measured and designed, and they have done a great job. Also this is an old finca and the naya floor was extremely uneven, so LUX- AL took a lot of time, almost a day, preparing, fixing and
making sure the supporting framework of the glass curtains is absolutely 100% even. As a result the glass panels move perfectly”.
Bill concludes “So as you can see we are really happy with LUX-AL’s work, they are the only firm we’ll be using if we need any more work doing, and we have already recommended them to other people including our neighbours. And we are very happy to do so because we have been absolutely delighted with them”.
