Female Focus Coffee & Cake Morning at El Puerto de Mazarrón


MABS Murcia, with the grateful assistance and support of Bar Med and La Pasteleria en El Puerto de Mazarrón, is holding a free Coffee & Cake Morning with a presentation about MABS and its operations in the Region of Murcia which consists of Mazarron, Mar


Menor and Calasparra. Date: Tuesday 13th June, Venue: Bar Med, Location: El Alamillo Plaza, Av. Cabo Cope, Local 7, 30860, Puerto de Mazarron, Time: 10.30am.


Come along and enjoy the hospitality and coffee of Bar Med and the quality cakes of La Pasteleria. The presentation takes about 45 minutes within Bar Med and its relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. MABS Murcia thanks Michelle of Bar Med and Helma of La Pasteleria for their donations, assistance and their ongoing support of our work with cancer patients.


Aromas de Guardamar and Crescendo Choirs


On Sunday 7th May, the prestigious choir AROMAS de GUARDAMAR joined with Crescendo choir to sing at the music school in Guardamar in


aid of local Caritas. The Guardamar choir is well known in the area as it has been in existence for over forty years. Also well known, although somewhat younger, a mere twelve years, is Crescendo International choir. They were brought together by Toni Guillen who is MD for Aromas and accompanist for Crescendo. The Guardamar choir sang first followed by Crescendo who sang their last three songs in Spanish. The two choirs then joined together to sing ‘Amapola’ a popular folk song in Spain. The concert raised 411€ for local charities which will be put to very good use in the town.


Next concert date. Crescendo’s next concert will be at “el Paraiso” restaurant near Carrefour on Sunday 11th June at 4pm. Tickets are 5€ each which includes a drink at the bar. These are available from any choir member or call into a rehearsal any Friday morning at the restaurant between 10am and 12 noon. On Saturday 13th May, Moftag, a woman's group in Calpe held another of their Spring Fairs, in Delfín Square with the hospitality of the Delfin Pub.


Many stalls selling homemade produce, a Raffle, two well - filled food Hampers.


The morning raised 1186€. The money will be used to provide help for local charities.

We would like to say a very big thank you to Angie and her staff at the lounge. There were sixteen models, including four male models. Thank you to all of them for giving their time once again for a worthy cause. There was a wide choice of clothes -bargains every one of them – to buy on the night including all the clothes that the models wore.


The AAN Charity raise money to feed the needy of La Marina and San Fulgencio, spending an average of 2.000€ a month. A final thank you to everyone who came to support our cause and our brave models.
