Music of the Night
After the success of their festive musical "A Christmas Carol" in December, Sounds Familiar have been working hard on their next musical
production to be performed at the Auditorio Municipal in Ondara on Friday 7th July.
The revue show, called "Music of the Night", features songs from many Broadway and West End musicals. The selection of shows that Philip Ashley, the group's Director, has put together is
designed to appeal to anyone who enjoys going to the theatre, whether you like the older classic musicals from composers such as Rodgers & Hammerstein or the more modern style of Andrew Lloyd Webber. The wide range of music has meant that the cast have had tremendous fun switching from the elegance and glamour of Shall We Dance from the King & I to the heavier rock style of Jesus Christ Superstar. During the show you can expect to see excerpts from Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera, and Oliver to name just a few. The show start at 8pm with the doors opening at 7.30pm. Our final meeting for this season will be held on Wednesday, 7th June at 2.30pm
BUT NOT AT OUR USUAL VENUE! Instead we will meet at TOSCAL Garden centre, where Rocio Rodrigues will give us a talk on 'How to choose the best plants from Garden Centres'.
She will then show us around the Garden Centre, to illustrate what she means.
There will not be a competition this month, but members will receive the monthly newsletter and also a FREE raffle- ticket, which could win you a plant from the Garden Centre.
