Women’s Land Army in Dorset 100 years on
I organise the Heavy Horse Section of the Great Dorset Steam Fair. This year, to celebrate 100 years since the Women’s Land Army was formed in 1917, our Heavy Horse show rosettes will carry the colours of the Women’s Land Army and we’d like to make a display of photos in our Gallery of Memories, celebrating the contribution of these hardy ladies throughout both world wars. If you have any photos we may copy, whether or not they include horses, I would be very grateful if you could contact me.
