Traditional Chinese acupuncture uses the philosophy and techniques of TCM, which has an understanding of how the body works that is different from modern medicine. It takes many years' experience to master traditional Chinese acupuncture in order that a practitioner can use it to it’s full potential.

In China, acupuncture is used to treat a very wide range of conditions, including many common ailments such as: arthritis; back pain; headaches and migraines; asthma; insomnia; anxiety; period pain; infertility; menopausal problems; digestive disorders; and allergies.
Dooley and Julian Pampiglione, both of whom encourage and support their patients in the use of acupuncture as an adjunct to ART.
In the UK, many doctors and physiotherapists also practise acupuncture, though this is normally what is called medical acupuncture. This involves a more Western scientifi c approach and treatment is usually limited to pain relief.
