F
irstly,
thank
you to
all
the
owners who have supported Walking With The Wounded, our charity of the year, and to
all those of you who have sponsored this worthy cause. Your time and generosity are greatly appreciated and we are still counting up the donations and will post the final total shortly. To the owners who took part in the
Pendle Hill walks, a massive well done. Also some of you may be aware that on 4th September Carol Ellaby and myself did our first Skydive. This was an amazing experience and one we both agreed we’d do again. Photos from all these events will be played on the TV in reception soon. Next, I’d like to offer a big Ribble Valley
welcome to all our new owners. I hope you enjoy many relaxing years here and I look forward to meeting you soon. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be
starting our Drain Down service, which we’ll send out more information about soon (find out more on p86).
Also, in answer to those owners who have asked about improving the lighting here, we have put brighter bulbs in the street lamps and fitted sensor lights around the park. Being in a light pollution zone we are restricted to what we can do to improve things. However if you do have a major issue regarding lighting, please call in to see me. Looking ahead, if anyone has any
suggestions for events for 2017 please pass them on to Carol, who will greatly appreciate your input. Speaking of events, make sure you get your tickets for the Christmas Party at the Stirk House on 2nd December – reserve them now to avoid disappointment. Finally, most of you will have met Donna Christie our new Sales Manager who recently took over from Russell. Please join me in welcoming Donna to the team and hoping she settles in quickly here at Ribble Valley.

Winter is almost upon us and the red berries are looming on the trees, which if the old wives tale is true, means we could be in for some snow. I love winter and as the nights draw in, like nothing more that snuggling up by the open fire. Christmas too is fast approaching, as is my forthcoming wedding. And while I must admit I’m a little nervous about that, I’m so excited too!
